Are you ready for more Banter??
BanterFest is our unique and exclusive take on how a friendly, cosy boutique folk festival should be, born from the desire to bring you the best music and artists that we know and love! We launched the first BanterFest in Sept 2022 in Lincolnshire and had an amazing time seeing so many happy smiling faces, so we’ve been running it each year since and it’s now taken on a life of it’s own and become an important fixture in the UK folk festival calendar.
During that time we’ve learned that folks love the fun and friendly vibe of what we’ve built up, love the cosy size of BanterFest, love the feeling of having found their tribe and love the unbelievable lineups of artists that we carefully curate each year.
The weekend of 19th – 21st September 2025 will see the return of BanterFest Lincolnshire to the idyllic rural village of Welbourn between Lincoln and Grantham, but as those who have already joined in know, the demand for tickets has always exceeded the capacity of the wonderful venue that we use.
We have toyed with the decision as to whether to expand the festival, but have concluded that we don’t want to risk losing it’s special charm.
So we’ve decided to share the love around the country and launch a second BanterFest in the SouthWest of England –
BANTERFEST SOUTH WEST!!
This new, additional BanterFest will take place on the weekend of 8th – 11th May 2026. As with the original event, the weekend will feature up close and intimate concerts from some of the biggest A-list artists in the folk world in the wonderful Teign Valley Community Hall nestled in the idyllically rural Teign Valley village of Christow, Devon, right on the edge of The Dartmoor National Park.
We’ve taken the blueprint for BanterFest South West from our much loved Lincolnshire BanterFests: camping; singing; dancing; sessions; workshops; real ale; great food plus the lighthearted and now-traditional Banter-lympics!
The limited quantity of tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so don’t hang around booking. We can’t wait to see you and to share what we are certain will be a fantastic weekend with you!
